Within our possibilities and limited economic capacities, YURTA Association has developed and continues to develop activities of various kinds, depending on the place where these activities carry out, but always aimed at providing support to nomadic-tradition communities. In the urban context, we do research activity through various sources, mainly visual and written documents, we write articles, reports and books and create projects and artworks, and we also try to raise funds, either by selling our publications and original artworks or applying for grants. On the field we carry out anthropological research campaigns among nomadic, semi-nomadic and other traditional peoples, whose data are later used to design innovative projects, but we also implement these projects or others that seem appropriate to us in cooperation and with the finnacial support of committed institutions. In the international arena, we participate in forums, seminars, conferences, meetings and other related events, as well as collaborate with indigenous communities, civil society organizations and official institutions with interest of protecting mobile indigenous peoples and their ecosystems.
