YURTA Association has began to publish books and articles at its own charge, but Santiago J. Carralero, his founder and chairman, has also collaborated with other organizations as an independent author specialized in nomadic peoples issues, whether with unpublished reports or formal publications.

"Espíritus Errantes" is a book published in 2007 by S. Carralero that narrates the destiny of the last itinerant groups of India.

Written with a holistic anthropological view, "Following the thread of Yak" is a report commissioned by IFAD which describe the current situation of the yak-wool industry

"Paisaje tras la Catástrofe" is the fruit of different on-field research campaigns in Kham and Amdo regions of East Tibet carried out between 2008 and 2014 with the objective of study the drokpa (nomadic pastoralists) communities and the socio-environmental change  affecting them in the last decades.
