Introduction
EDUNOMAD Project was born after years of studying various nomadic-tradition cultures in different regions of the world, as well as from the participation in some international events related to mobile indigenous peoples, but also and mainly motivated by the current scenario of environmental deterioration. Wishing to concretize these concerns and knowledge into an innovative, lasting proposal with a certain international impact, YURTA Association has been designing this initiative little by little, giving it its definitive shape at the end of 2024 in the form of an environmental education project inspired in and by the nomadic peoples, after two and a half years of experimental voyage with ups and downs due to the limited resources we have. Its ultimate goal is to create the Centre of Nomadic Cultures for Environmental Education, which would be the first in the world dedicated to Mobile Indigenous Peoples, commonly called nomads, along with the ecosystems that compose their natural countries. Conceived as a teaching space based on indigenous-rooted scientific knowledge with a universalist vocation, its mission is to promote global values of respect for nature and its native inhabitants, including human communities.
