Edunomad | Center of Nomadic Cultures for Environmental Education
EDUNOMAD is a project designed by YURTA Association aimed to creating an institution conceived as a combination of research institute, museum and cutural activities centre. Initailly called EDUNOMAD, our current project is more specifically denominated Center of Nomadic Cultures for Environmental Education.
Considered as the first in the world of its kind, EDUNOMAD uses the ancient indigenous knowledge of the peoples who have been part of the natural ecosystems of our world for millennia to educate the new generations in a new way of seeing the world, more respectful and less selfish, twinning the world with a holistic sprit, beyond the needs of states for growing and the corporations for competing to each other, frequently in detriment of the natural world, which is our common treasure to be protected.

As a project, EDUNOMAD began in 2022. During these first years, we are visiting the places where nomads live to learn about their ecosystems and communities. We take photos and videos and collect crafts, all within our limited budget. With this, we want to obtain enough information to illustrate the future rooms of the Center. Likewise, during the time we are not traveling we produce works of art that are put up for sale to cover part of the many expenses inherent to these trips, and those that are not sold will become part of the center's permanent art exhibition.
